Degraded Area Recovery Projects - PRAD
It is an orientation document for the execution of action planning studies that are necessary for the recovery of native vegetation in degraded areas, based on the presentation of the environmental diagnosis.
The Instituto Interagir team will develop the techniques and methods that will be used, conjecturing the implementation schedule and monitoring of actions.
The PRAD must be submitted for restoration initiatives such as:
Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs)
Legal reserve
Restricted Use Areas
Other Altered and Degraded areas (mining, environmental damage, etc.)
Management of native species: natural or planted
Recovery of Unprotected Natural Environments
Urban Afforestation
Restoration Implementation
The implementation of restoration of a degraded area requires several steps that demand previous study, such as the ecological condition of the area. In order to carry out the restoration, our team will examine the state of the soil for its fertility and conservation, in addition to:
Presence of remaining native vegetation in the perimeter
Topography
Water regime
water course width
Type of anthropic activity around the area
Monitoring of areas undergoing restoration
The monitoring of areas in the process of restoration consists of the use of environmental indicators in areas that are undergoing restoration. We carry out monitoring with the objective of evaluating and identifying the stages of development of ecological communities, through technical methodologies applied by our highly qualified team to monitor the results of the plantations and identifying eventual problems, where corrections will be applied when necessary.
Implementation of agroforestry systems
The implementation of agroforestry systems is one of the alternatives to the practice of clearing and burning vegetation, which is a common practice used by small producers in agriculture.
We carry out projects to implement this system with the objective of reducing environmental impacts and preserving the quality of the soil, using sustainable practices to increase the quality of production and also the quality of life.
Protection and Recovery of Springs
The protection and recovery of springs is a form of prevention against water scarcity. Our team is highly qualified to carry out a hydro-environmental diagnosis of land use and occupation of springs, identifying the necessary actions for their preservation.
We have experience in conservation practices applying technical and scientific methodologies, with the objective of increasing the productivity and quality of water from degraded springs, thus avoiding water scarcity.
native forestry
Our country is rich in natural resources, with an extensive area of forest. However, it is also the country that deforests the most in the world. With the objective of reducing rampant deforestation in search of noble wood, the incentive to native forestry is an alternative to reduce the illegal cutting of native trees.
We therefore have a consultancy to assist in planning, which refers to the planting of native forests in a way that does not harm the biomes and that is within the law, helping in the conservation and preservation of native forests.
seedling nursery
Our team has trained professionals, who will assist in the creation of your seedling nursery. We provide support throughout the process, from consulting for the selection of species that will be cultivated, monitoring the collection of seeds in the field, sowing, monitoring the germination and hardening of the seedlings. Our planning and supervision guarantees the quality of the seedlings and higher survival rates in the field.
